2012 Run Strong

It is official, registration is now open for the 2012 RUN STRONG program.  Due to the uncertainty of the track however, I can guarantee the first session to be at Pewaukee Track same as last year.  I have a few other back up plans in which are local and are no more than about 10 miles away from the current location, incase Pewaukee goes through with their resurfacing of the track during the summer.  New for this year, anyone who signs up for all 3 sessions will receive a Peak Performance Professionals cool max running t-shirt (available in men’s and women’s styles)!

I am excited to offer RUN STRONG again this year as I have had the opportunity to do a few specific running specialty clinics learning more about running and economy.  I have some new drills and techniques to share with each of you.  Also, based on numbers and abilities this year, I may add another coach to add to assistance to each runner.

Lastly, due to the numerous of requests for half marathon and marathon training programs.  I will be offering 8 or 12 week half marathon training plans and a 20 week marathon training plan.  This will allow those interested in maximizing their run training with the specific RUN STRONG program in a purposeful driven training program customized for your pacing and HR zones.  If you are interested in receiving more details on this please email me directly.

Make your running count and RUN STRONG!

Join running specialist Heather Haviland in a purposeful driven weekly group run workout.   The focus will begin with improving your running economy with proper leg turnover and learning running drills and techniques that works for you and your movement patterns.  Each session will build on one another and as it is encouraged to join all 3, runners are welcome to join 1 session at a time.  Workouts will be both on and off the track.  While the focus is on running; muscle balance and strengthening muscles needed for running will also be addressed.  

The weekly workouts will be geared for various abilities and racing distances. A 1-3 mile time trial will be done to determine HR and pacing zones.  A heart rate monitor is highly recommended.   Based on enrollment and abilities, an additional coach may be added.

Wednesday mornings Pewaukee HS track 5:30-6:45am
Session 1: May 2nd – June 6th
Session 2: June 13th – July 18th
Session 3: July 25th – August 29th

Wednesday evenings Pewaukee HS track 6:00-7:15pm
Session 1: May 2nd – June 6th
